Oh-So-Berrylicious Smoothie

Oh-So-Berrylicious Smoothie Recipe This morning I had a craving for a smoothie.

I usually just go to Jamba Juice for a $4 smoothie like a normal person, but I wasn’t ready to get out of my pajamas just yet, so I thought why not make my own.

Except that I’ve never made a smoothie. Like ever.

So I searched on Youtube for a little bit. And then on Google. And after awhile I realized that I was missing most of the ingredients these recipes required.

White chocolate peanut butter. Pomegranate. Flax seed. Kale. (Who drinks this stuff?)

The only smoothie-like ingredient I knew I had were frozen mixed berries.

That is until I found one of those little boxes of vanilla almond milk that I’d purchased when I was feeling a little adventurous only to promptly hide it in the back of the fridge to die a slow death.

And then I spotted a lone banana on the counter and I knew it was meant to be.

So I threw the mixed berries, banana and half of the almond milk into the blender and crossed my fingers.

And it was the best smoothie ever.

It was so good that I barely had time to instagram it, before diving in.

So the moral of the story is: You can totally make a smoothie with 3 ingredients while you’re still in your pajamas and save yourself $4.

You’re welcome.

I love making smoothies, instead of the milk I use to throw in about 3 heaping tablespoon full of Greek yogurt, and then some cranberry juice. But a couple weeks ago I got a Vitamix, and have been going crazy with all the veggie and fruit blends, that are so delicious! And…making them at home saves on expenses too.
