I Heart Alaska
A good friend of mine recently spent some time in Alaska for work and upon his return told me that Alaska was one of the most amazing places he’d ever seen. After seeing the photos he took while up there, I can believe it. Alaska has always been on my list of “Places To See“.
Besides it’s gorgeous scenery, Alaska is just one of those special places. Did you know that Alaska has over 3 million lakes, 40 active volcanoes and 10,000 glaciers? Alaska also has more bald eagles than anywhere in the world and is home to all 3 species of North American bears - grizzly, polar and brown. And there’s a town in Alaska called Barrow that goes 64 days a year without daylight!
There’s no doubt that Alaska is a fascinating state. Even if you never get the chance to travel there, you can get lost in looking at photo after photo of the amazing scenery in Alaska.
Here’s another fun Alaska fact for you - did you know that you can request the official state guide filled with all kinds of photos and information about Alaska and have it sent directly to your mailbox? And it’s free. I know, I know, too much goodness all at once. But it’s true. I received mine and love to flip through it for some inspiration and to daydream about going there one day.
If you’re set on heading to Alaska sometime in the near future, you’ll also want to drop by my Facebook page to see how you can enter to win a $1000 vacation. 😉
